Ingredients
  • 10x GARDEN GOURMET® Burger Deluxe
  • 10 slices cheese (15g) blue cheese (see tips)
  • 10 seeded burger buns
  • 10 corn on the cobs
  • 5 small onions, sliced
  • 5 large vine tomatoes, sliced
  • 250g shredded iceberg lettuce
  • 3tbsp olive oil
  • small spritz of 1kcal olive spray
Preparation
  • 1
Preheat the oven to 180°C (160°C for fan ovens), Gas Mark 4. Place the GARDEN GOURMET® Burger Deluxe burgers on a baking tray and cook from frozen 12-15 minutes, turn halfway through. Remove the burgers from the oven and place a cheese slice on top of each burger. Return to the oven for 3-4 minutes, adding the buns to the oven for the final 2 minutes of the cooking time.
  • 2
Heat the oil in a large frying pan and cook the onions until caramelised (about 5-10 minutes over a low heat).
  • 3
Place the corn on the cob in a pan of simmering water for 5-8 minutes. Heat a griddle pan or frying pan to very hot, spray a small spritz of 1kcal olive spray onto the corn and char for a minute or so turning frequently.
  • 4
Stack the burgers! Cut the buns in half. Place one half of the buns onto plates and top with lettuce and tomato. Place the cheesy burger on top and add the crispy onions. Sandwich with the other half of the burger bun.
  • 5
    Serve with the charred corn.

Use your favourite cheese for this easy veggie burger – we like blue, halloumi or smoked cheese for extra flavour but a mature cheddar would also be great! Try adding sliced gherkins to this recipe or some griddled courgettes or aubergines. Let your customers add their favourite condiments - mayonnaise, ketchup, mustard or pickles for extra flavour.
