Vegetarian Sweet Chilli Burger
A sweet and spicy twist on our GARDEN GOURMET® Burger Deluxe served with chunky sweet potato wedges, this sweet chilli burger recipe will keep the taste buds of both veggies and non-veggies happy with the tantalising combination of flavours. Look out for different types of chilli sauces to make it fiery or mild to suit your tastebuds!
The sweet chilli burger’s secret is the flavourful vegetarian burger made entirely of plants without compromising the taste or look.
- 10 GARDEN GOURMET Burger Deluxe
- 10 spring onions
- 5 carrots
- half of cucumber
- 10tbsp sweet chilli sauce
- two handfuls coriander leaves
- 4tbsp olive oil
- 8 small sweet potatoes
- freshly ground black pepper
- 10 seeded burger buns
- 4tbsp light mayonnaise
- 100g of rocket leaves

1Preheat the oven to 180°C (160°C for fan ovens), Gas Mark 4. Quarter the sweet potatoes, place on a baking sheet, drizzle with olive oil and sprinkle with black pepper, bake for 30 minutes.

2After 20 minutes in the oven, turn the sweet potatoes, at the same time place the GARDEN GOURMET Burger Deluxe burgers on a baking tray and place in the oven from frozen 12-15 minutes, turn halfway through.

3Finely slice the spring onions and place in a bowl. Make ribbons of carrot and cucumber using a peeler, mix both with the spring onion and coriander leaves and dress with the chilli sauce.

4Build your burgers with the sweet chilli slaw, mayonnaise and rocket leaves and serve with the sweet potato wedges.

This recipe could be made vegan by simply replacing our GARDEN GOURMET Burger Deluxe with our GARDEN GOURMET Sensational Burger, changing the seeded burger buns to vegan buns and replacing the mayonnaise to a vegan mayonnaise.
