Generally, bean-to-cup coffee offers better flavour and freshness than pod coffee. Pods can be convenient but often lack the rich taste and aroma that freshly ground beans provide.
Arabica beans are prized for their smoother, higher-acid flavour, making them ideal for speciality coffees, while Robusta beans offer a stronger taste with higher caffeine content, more suited to espresso blends.
Coffee beans are primarily sourced from tropical regions like Latin America, Africa, and Asia. NESCAFÉ sources coffee beans from countries such as Brazil, Vietnam, and Colombia.
This is difficult to say, as different brewing methods require different amounts of coffee. However, an industry-standard dose for a single shot of coffee is 7 grams per cup, so, on average, you can expect to get around 120-140 cups of coffee per 1 kilogram of coffee beans.
There are over 120 species in the Coffea genus, with Coffea arabica and Coffea canephora (Robusta) being the most commercially significant.
