At NESCAFÉ®, we recognise that the farmers we partner with are integral to our journey toward sustainability. We collaborate closely with them to implement regenerative agricultural practices that enhance their livelihoods. This includes tailored training programmes designed to support their transition to these sustainable methods, along with the provision of high-yield coffee plantlets.

By working hand-in-hand, we continuously evaluate and adapt our initiatives to align with the unique conditions of the countries from which we source our coffee. In addition to training, we are also introducing financial support programmes aimed at increasing farmers' incomes during their shift to regenerative agriculture. These programmes offer conditional cash incentives for adopting sustainable practices, weather insurance to safeguard their earnings, and improved access to credit facilities.

Award Winning Coffee Machine Units Made From Recycled Nestlé Materials

Room Nestle

NESCAFÉ® furniture is now made using boards made from 100% recycled materials - 70% waste plastic from our Tutbury factory and 30% used Nestlé coffee grounds.

This progress allows us to strengthen our sustainability credentials and gives us a unique competitive advantage in the UK market as we are using materials from our own factories. This is an important step in making it easier for our customers to make more sustainable choices for their businesses.

The boards are solely made from Nestlé waste materials, and are completely unique to Nestlé. The material is called NESCAFÉ recycled plastic coffee board (NRPCB). We are thrilled to have been recognised for this innovation with the Waste Management & Prevention Footprint Award 2025 and the Best Closed Loop Project Award in the Footprint Waste2Zero 2024.
