NESCAFÉ®PRESENTS DISCUSSIONS WITH DEBORAH (the “Competition”)
Nestlé Professional, Nestlé UK Ltd, Haxby Road, York, YO31 8TA (the “Promoter”).
By entering the Competition you (“You”) are accepting these terms and conditions. Please retain a copy for your records.
- Enter for a chance to win one place at one of three round table face-to-face advice discussions with Deborah Meaden and NESCAFÉ® business experts (the “Prize”). There are six Prizes available.
- The Competition opens at 9:00 on 22 January 2024 and closes at 23:59 on 31 March 2024 (the “Promotion Period”). Entries received outside the Promotion Period will be disregarded. The Promoter reserve the right in their absolute discretion to amend the closing date in the event that an insufficient number of entries received have satisfied the entry and judging criteria.
- To enter the Competition participants must first express their interest by registering at NESCAFÉ® Presents: Discuss with Deborah | Nestlé Professional (nestleprofessional.co.uk). Registration is a requirement of entry but does not alone constitute entry. Once registered, entrants will receive an email containing a link to the competition application.
- The discussions will take place in front of a live audience on a date to be determined by the Promoter Audience members will be selected from entrants to the Competition. Entrants to the Competition must select whether they wish to apply for a chance: to be selected as an audience member; to be selected for panel participation; or to be considered for both audience and panel.
- The Competition is open to the owners of small to medium sized businesses (10 – 250 employees) registered in either the UK (England, Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland), Isle of Man, Channel Islands or Republic of Ireland (“Eligibility Criteria”). You should be the owner of the business or have the permission of the business owner. You will be required to submit evidence of this permission.
- Employees and the immediate families of the Promoter, its affiliated companies, agents, or anyone else professionally associated with the administration of the Competition may not enter this Competition.
- To enter the Competition, You must:
- satisfy the Eligibility Criteria (see paragraph 5);
- purchase either a NESCAFÉ® 500g, 750g, 1kg tin; 450g or 600g refill; or a 200 sachet stick pack) during the Promotion Period (“Qualifying Purchase”);
- register your interest in the Competition;
- complete the application form on the Competition website https://www.nestleprofessional.co.uk/nescafe/discussions-with-deborah/entry , answer the questions in that form, provide a brief explanation of your business and business challenge;
- select a discussion topic (sustainability. wellbeing in the workplace or accelerating business growth) most relevant to your business challenge;
- submit a short video describing your business challenge (the video must not exceed 60 seconds in length and must be no larger than 100MB supplied in a readable format such avi, mov, and mp4); and
- upload proof of Qualifying Purchase such as an invoice or receipt.
- The Promoter reserves the right to refuse any proof of Qualifying Purchase if it is out of focus or blurry, does not list a Qualifying Purchase or Promotion Period or is otherwise unverifiable.
- Only one entry is permitted per business.
- You are responsible for the cost (if any) of your Competition entry as well all other costs associated with participation in the Competition. If You are selected to attend a discussion session as an audience member You will be solely responsible for your costs. If you are one of the six finalists invited to participate on a round table face-to-face discussion session panel, the Promoter will reimburse your travel and accommodation expenses up to a maximum of £250 per entry. If your costs exceed £250 in total then You must pay the difference.
- Tickets to attend a discussion session as an audience member are non-transferable. They cannot be transferred to another discussion session or to a person who is not named on the ticket. If your application for tickets is successful, your tickets will be printed with the name of the person who applied. The name printed on your tickets must match the name on your approved photo ID otherwise you won’t be admitted. Photo ID must be original and in date (copies and out of date ID won’t be accepted). If you cannot provide this proof you will be refused entry.
- The Promoter reserves the right at its sole discretion, to be exercised reasonably, to disqualify your entry if: You do not meet the entry criteria, You cannot be contacted or You do not respond within 5 days of being contacted. In the event of disqualification the Promoter may select a new longlisted entry, runner up or winner in accordance with the Competition selection process. The Promoter reserves the right to disregard any entries that it believes to be in breach of these terms and conditions.
- By submitting an entry to the Competition, You:
- give the Promoter permission to film the round table face-to-face discussion session;
- grant the Promoter a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to use and publish such footage in an electronic format (including but not limited to the Promoter’s website) both as a full video and as screen shots, for purposes connected with the Competition and to advertise the Promoter;
- irrevocably waive, for the benefit of the Promoter, all moral rights in the footage to which you may be entitled;
- grant the Promoter the right to use your name, photograph and business name for the sole purpose of identifying You as the author of your entry and/or as a finalist or winner of the Competition.
- During the week commencing 8 April 2024, a panel of judges from the Promoter including an independent judge will review and select the six panel participants from all the valid entries received using the criteria listed in paragraph 14.
- When assessing entries the judges will be looking for passionate entrants that can succinctly and clearly describe their challenge from businesses that deliver a unique proposition with a focus on sustainability and commitment to diversity. The judges’ decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into regarding the decision.
- Full details of the judging process and judges are available on request to consumer.services@uk.nestle.com. If any selected candidate objects to their information being published, then they can contact the Promoter by emailing UKI.dataprotection@uk.nestle.com with the subject line: NESCAFÉ® Discussions with Deborah Candidates’. The Promoter may nevertheless disclose the information to the Advertising Standards Authority if required to do so.
- The winners will be notified by the Promoter via the email address used to submit their entry. You are responsible for ensuring that You provide a correct email address. Panel Participants will be contacted by no later than 30 April 2024. Winners must confirm acceptance of the Prize within 5 days of notification. If You do not respond within this time period, are uncontactable or You reject your Prize then the Prize will be deemed forfeited and the Promoter shall be entitled to select another panel participant in accordance with paragraph 14.
- Details of the Prize winners can be obtained by sending a stamped addressed envelope to the Promoter’s address.
- The Promoter takes no responsibility for entries that are lost, delayed, misdirected or incomplete or cannot be delivered or entered for any technical or other reason. Proof of delivery of an entry is not proof of receipt.
- The Prize cannot be exchanged or transferred by You and cannot be redeemed by You for any other Prize.
- The Promoter retains the right to substitute the Prize with other prizes of similar value should the Prize no longer be available.
- The winners may be required for promotional activity and shall participate in such activity on the Promoter’s reasonable request. The winners consent to the use by the Promoter and their related companies for an unlimited time of their voice, image, photograph and name for publicity purposes (in any medium, including still photographs and films, and on the internet, including any websites hosted by the Promoter and their related companies) and in advertising, marketing or promotional material without additional compensation or prior notice and in entering the Competition, all entrants consent to the same.
- The Promoter takes data protection seriously and shall use any personal data You provide to them as described in its privacy policies. By entering in this Promotion, You confirm that you have read the relevant privacy policies and agree to your information being processed for the administration of the Competition. The Promoter may pass your details onto third parties and/or otherwise engage third party providers in connection with this Competition where the third party is acting on the Promoter’s behalf for the purposes of administering this Competition and/or any subsequent publicity, and/or for the purposes of sending you the Promoter’s marketing materials; and/or as otherwise required by law.
- Nothing in these terms and conditions shall exclude the liability of the Promoter for death, personal injury, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation as a result of their negligence.
- The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any damage, loss, liabilities, injury or disappointment incurred or suffered by You as a result of entering the Competition or accepting the Prize.
- The Promoter reserves the right from time to time to modify or discontinue, temporarily or permanently, this Competition with or without prior notice due to reasons outside their control (including without limitation, in the case of anticipated, suspected or actual.
- The Competition and these terms and conditions will be governed by English law and shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
