Nestlé Professional has launched its Toque d’Or competition and hospitality awards for the 33rd time - with a new format and even more opportunities for young hospitality professionals to get involved.

Toque d’Or® 2021: What’s New for the Beloved Nestlé Competition

Known as one of the most exciting Nestlé chef and waiter competitions, our Toque d’Or® 2021 aims to inspire the industry’s next generation and provide them with the key skills required to succeed in their career.

In recognition of the increasing importance of community and inclusiveness, this year’s competition will be open to entry level Front and Back of House professionals, as well as college students and apprentices

Our competitions will be a bit different next year. New for 2021, the competition timeline has been adapted in line with college courses making it easier for lecturers to support students in the process, and to provide the best opportunity to hold the finals and the hospitality awards face-to-face.

Key dates to add to your calendar for the upcoming Toque d’Or® hospitality competition and awards

**Due to the current extented lockdown period, please be aware that the next update on dates and timings for our 2021 competition is due to be announced on the 24th February. The dates below are subject to change**

All Back and Front of House apprentices, students and young professionals (commis chefs and waiters) will be given their relevant entry task 01/02/2021. The Heats will take place early April, with Finalists announced on 30/04/2021. The Finals and the Awards will be hosted in the last week of June, with the Awards broadcasted live over YouTube for the rest of the industry to enjoy in the third week of July.

Do you want to relive the exciting moments from our 2020 Toque d’Or Digital awards ceremony? Here are the inspiring Toque d’Or® hospitality awards winners.
 

Launched in 1989, the competition was born out of a passion for hospitality excellence, to inspire the next generation and to provide opportunities to further their knowledge in the hospitality industry. The competition aims to educate and test entrants in both practical, service-based and business focused tasks, concentrating on key areas such as social media promotion, business management and sustainable food and drink.
