For me, Toque d’Or has been a hugely inspirational journey. Over the course of the competition, I’ve met some amazing people and worked with some massively talented chefs. These are the sort of opportunities you just don’t get at college.

Toque has opened my eyes to the possibilities out there for me, and has made me realise that - from contract catering to casual dining - there is so much more to hospitality than just fine dining.

Before Toque, I always wanted to work in restaurants and hotels. Now, I want to launch my career in contract catering. The competition has opened my eyes to the opportunities the sector has to offer – the potential to travel, work my way up in a company, and work alongside some amazing people. It’s made me realise that this is the route I want to take.

For me, Toque has more than met my expectations. The four days of twists, turns and challenges at the Finals has been amazing. Now I have a better understanding of what it’s like to work in a real kitchen. It’s taught me a lot about teamwork too - how important it is to play on each other’s strengths.

I’m very proud of what I’ve achieved at Toque. For me, it’s been a truly inspiring experience, and one which I hope will lead on to great things. This is just the start. I’m excited about what the future has to hold!
