Garden Gourmet® Sweet Chilli Burger

A sweet and spicy twist on our Burger Deluxe served with chunky sweet potato wedges, this sweet chilli burger recipe will keep the taste buds of both veggies and non-veggies happy with the tantalising combination of flavours. The sweet chilli burger’s secret is the flavourful vegetarian burger made entirely of plants without compromising the taste or look.

This sweet chilli vegetarian recipe serves 10.

INGREDIENTS

10 Garden Gourmet Burger Deluxe 

Sweet chilli slaw:
10 spring onions 

5 carrots

Half of cucumber 

10tbsp sweet chilli sauce 

Two handfuls coriander leaves

Sweet potato wedges:
4tbsp olive oil 

8 small sweet potatoes

Freshly ground black pepper 

To serve: 
100g of rocket leaves

4tbsp light mayonnaise

10 seeded burger buns 

 

METHOD

Prep time: 10 minutes Cooking time: 30 minutes

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (160°C for fan ovens), Gas Mark 4. Quarter the sweet potatoes, place on a baking sheet, drizzle with olive oil and sprinkle with black pepper, bake for 30 minutes.
  2. After 20 minutes in the oven, turn the sweet potatoes, at the same time place the burgers on a baking tray and place in the oven from frozen 12-15 minutes, turn halfway through. 
  3. Finely slice the spring onions and place in a bowl. Make ribbons of carrot and cucumber using a peeler, mix both with the spring onion and coriander leaves and dress with the chilli sauce.
  4. Build your burgers with the sweet chilli slaw, mayonnaise and rocket leaves and serve with the sweet potato wedges.
