Apple and Blackberry Tart
- 0:55 TIME
- 12 portions
200g sweet shortcrust pastry
397g CARNATION® Sweetened Condensed Milk
3 large eggs
Prep: 15 minutes. Cook: 40 minutes.
- Preheat the oven to 180˚C (fan 160˚C). Cut the apples into quarters. Discard the cores and cut into wedges. Scatter in a single layer onto a baking tray lined with parchment paper. Bake for 8 minutes.
- Roll out the pastry on a lightly floured work surface and use to line a lightly greased 20cm (8in) fluted tart tin or pie dish. Scatter the apples and blackberries evenly over the base of the pastry case.
- Whisk the condensed milk and eggs together until well combined and pour into the pastry case.
- Bake for 30 minutes until the pastry is golden and the filling is set. Allow to cool before serving.
Spice up the flavour of the custard with 1 level teaspoon of ground cinnamon which works very well with the apples and juicy blackberries.
