Jonathan Belford has over 15 years experience in pastry and has worked in some of the top hotels in Europe and around the world. He was classically trained by the Roux brothers in Amsterdam and moved to New Zealand working initially in the Langham where he developed his knowledge of flavours and experimented with new ones whilst developing those better known and accepted combinations.
A return to London to work in some of the top hotels and restaurants in 2009 helped him to refine and modernise his desserts. In 2015 Jonathan was one of three nominees for pastry chef of the year by the Craft Guild of Chefs.
Jonathan's talents have now moved into teaching others how to design beautiful desserts showing his passion and experience and passing this onto others. He has developed a name for himself becoming the head pastry chef at the Excel Arena.
