Being a part of Nestlé Professional Toque d’Or couldn’t be easier. However, we realise that from time to time you may need more information about the process or various aspects of the competition.

How do I enter a college team?
Entering a team couldn’t be easier! Once you have selected the 3 students who will represent your college simply complete the registration form.
 
How do I register an apprentice?
Entering a team couldn’t be easier! Once you have selected the apprentice(s) who will represent your business simply complete the registration form.
 
How long will my students need to be away from college?
All registered teams will take part in the digital stage entry on Wednesday 10 January 2018, in their own college. The 24 teams making it through to the National Heats will spend one day competing during February/March. The 6 teams then selected for the Grand Finals will spend a total of 5 days (Wednesday – Sunday) competing in London during March. The finalist teams will all be invited to attend the awards ceremony in London in April.
 
How long will my apprentice be away from work?
All registered apprentices will take part in the digital stage entry on Wednesday 10 January 2018, in their place of employment. The 50 individuals making it through to the National Heats will spend one day competing during February/March. The 6 apprentices then selected for the Grand Finals will spend a total of 5 days (Wednesday – Sunday) competing in London during March. The finalists will all be invited to attend the awards ceremony in London in April.
 
Can I enter multiple teams/apprentices?
Colleges can enter a maximum of 2 teams. There is no limit to the number of apprentices a business can enter.
 
When will we find out if we are through to the next stage?
Colleges taking part in the Digital Entry will be notified whether they have made it through on Monday 15 January 2018. Apprentices taking part will be notified whether they have made it through on Monday 22 January 2018. Those competing in the National Heats will be notified by Monday 12 March 2018 whether they have been selected to compete in the Grand Finals. 
 
Do I need a front of house representative in my college team?
Of the three students making up your college team, one should have experience working in a Front of House (FoH) role. 
 
What does the Front of House (FoH) role involve?
During the heats the team member will be required to fulfil a FoH role as they would do in a restaurant environment. The series of challenges during the Grand Finals set a range of tasks during which all team members may find themselves out of their comfort zone.
 
How do I get access to the digital entry form and questions?
The entry form and questions will be shared at 9.00am on Wednesday 10 January 2018. Prior to this your registered team/apprentice can work on their recipe and video entry in order to complete the form on submission day.
 
Can I change a college team member?
Yes, if you need to make a change to your team after registering then please contact us at [email protected]
